Recently, WKBW-TV Channel 7 Sports reporter Shawn Stepner sat down with Canisius College head basketball coach Tom Parrotta and seven Golden Griffin student-athletes to talk about the program's success in the classroom. At the College's commencement ceremony in May, all six members of the program's junior class from 2009-10 earned their undergraduate degrees, while former guard Frank Turner walked across the stage to receive both his undergraduate and master's degrees from Canisius.

Canisius, which returns four starters, eight letterwinners and 70.3 percent of its scoring from a season ago, will open the 2010-11 schedule Friday, Nov. 12, when the team hosts long-time rival St. Bonaventure in the backend of a basketball doubleheader in the Koessler Athletic Center.
