Nate Huckle will be entering his fifth season as the men's and women's cross country head coach at Canisius College. Huckle, a two-time MAAC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year award winner, has taken the Canisius Cross Country and Track programs to a new level of success over his first few seasons as head coach. The head coach also resurrected the Canisius indoor and outdoor track and field program during the 2014 season.
During Huckle's third season at the helm of the program, the men's cross country team had one of its best seasons in Canisius history. The Griffs' finished first in the National Catholic Championships, knocking off the University of Notre Dame, and besting the previous highest finish of second place in 2002. Since his arrival in 2012, the men have improved from 28th in the Northeast Regional Championship to 10th. In Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference competition, Canisius has improved from a perennial mid-pack team to consecutive runner-up finishes behind nationally ranked Iona.
Maloy enters his first season as assistant coach of the Canisius College cross country/track and field teams, after an illustrious five-year career for the Blue and Gold. Maloy finished his career with four school records, including the indoor track 3k and 5k events, as well as the outdoor 5k and 10k events.
Shaul enters her first season as an assistant coach for the Canisius College cross country/track and field teams, after spending the last three three years as the head cross country/track and field coach at Hathaway Brown School in Shaker Heights, Ohio.
