Volleyball Drops Wagner for Fourth-Straight Win

The Canisius College volleyball team posted its fourth-straight win by knocking off Wagner 3-0 (30-14, 30-13, 30-24) Friday afternoon in the first match of the 2004 Rose Hill Classic at Fordham Univeristy. The win improves the Golden Griffins to 4-4 overall in 2004, while the Seahawks fall to 2-10 with the loss.

Senior Kim Hoffman (right) posted a .342 hitting percentage after posting 16 kills on 38 attack attempts to go along with nine digs and four block assists. Sophomore Mary Boller was credited with 11 kills, a solo block and four block assists, while senior Christina Wildes posted a match-high 17 digs and three service aces. Canisius hit .216 as a team, while holding Wagner to a -.067 team hitting percentage.
Wagner's Molly Judge posted a team-best seven kills in the loss. The win improves Canisius to 3-0 all-time against Wagner.

The Blue and Gold will return to action Sept. 18, with two matches on the final day of the Rose Hill Classic. Canisius meets Manhattan at 9 a.m., in the first match of the day before taking on host Fordham at 4:30 p.m.
