Beth O'Boyle is in her fourth season on the Canisius College coaching staff and second in holding the title of associate head coach. O'Boyle was named associate head coach prior to the start of the 2009-10 season after spending two seasons as an assistant coach.
O'Boyle came to Canisius after three seasons as the head coach at Montclair State University. In those three seasons, O'Boyle compiled a 51-33 (.607) overall record and a 33-14 (.702) mark in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. In the 2006-07 season, Montclair State won the ECAC Division III Metro Women's Basketball Championship for the first time since 1999. Following the 2005-06 season, O'Boyle was named co-Coach of the Year in the NJAC, and the Red Hawks produced their first All-American in 15 seasons.
Prior to taking over at Montclair State, O'Boyle spent four seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Rochester. During her first two seasons, Rochester won back-to-back ECAC Upstate New York championships and in her last two seasons, the team made consecutive appearances in the NCAA Division III Final Four.
A 1998 graduate of Gettysburg College, O'Boyle earned four letters with the basketball and soccer programs at Gettysburg and served as a two-time captain in each sport.
