Leslie Samson ('93) - A walk-on as a freshman, Samson played as both a centerfielder and pitcher, leading the team to a 106-31 record over four years with a 36-3 record in one year alone and earning a place in the first MAAC League and Playoff Championship in 1993. In both her freshman and sophomore years the team earned honors as NCAA Batting Champs; Samson ranked fourth in all-time batting average (.400) and second in career hits, with 196, during that time. As captain of the team as a senior, she was also an All-MAAC and All-Tournament selection in 1993 and helped the team bump UCLA from the top spot in the NCAA record books for consecutive victories, with 35.
