Ann Woloszynski (’90, MBA ’94) - Woloszynski excelled as both a scholar and an athlete during her years at Canisius College. As an undergraduate, the mathematics major was a dean’s list student who was twice named to the GTE Academic All-America Team. A member of the softball team for four years, captain for two, she compiled a .974 fielding percentage that ranks seventh in school history. Despite setbacks, including several injuries and knee surgery in 1988, Ann persevered. In 1990 she was named Student Athlete of the Year. Following graduation, Ann returned to the softball diamond, this time as the Griffs’ assistant coach. During her tenure, from 1991-2002, the team earned three NCAA regional and three NCAA play-in appearances and captured seven MAAC Tournament titles. In 1993 the team set an NCAA record for consecutive wins, with 35.
