Cynthia Ulreich Reinhard ('89)- For four years Cindy Ulreich Reinhard
was a major contributor to the success of Golden Griffin women’s basketball.
Between the 1985 and 1988 seasons, she played in 102 games, of which she
started in 99. She twice led the team in
field goal percentage and rebounds. She held top ten rankings on both ends of the court: ninth in scoring with 1,180 points; sixth in steals with 200; third
in rebounds with 798; second in blocks with 193; first in field goal percentage
with 53-percent. In the 1988 game against Siena, Ulreich Reinhard held a single-game, seven-for-seven, 100 percent field-goal
mark. During her
freshman and sophomore years, she also played as the softball team’s
starting first baseman. The 1986 team
went 20-6-1 and
became the first Canisius softball team to win a major post-season title. As a sophomore, she hit .388 for a team that won
17 games and lost eight.
