Amy Vredenburgh ('94) - A four-year catcher for the women’s softball team, Vredenburgh ranks eighth all-time in career fielding with .973 fielding percentage, as well as second in picking off runners with 16. A MAAC First Team selection in 1994, and a member of the 1993 and 1994 MAAC Regular season and tournament champion team, Vredenburgh caught 45 shutouts and earned a Canisius College record of 148-28 during her career. She is the sixth all-time career RBI record-holder with 98, and holds a career .339 batting average, tied for 16th in school history. Vredenburgh caught five no-hitters for Michelle Corrigan, three no-hitters for Natalie Kelterborn, and one each for Joanne Fiore and Leslie Samson. Fourth in Canisius College history with 20 caught steals, she ranks 18th in career hits with 133, is tied for 12th with 89 career runs, is tied for 10th with 27 career doubles and ranks 13th with seven career home runs. She was also a member of the NCAA Tournament team in 1994.
