Jody Tassone ('97, MSED '01) -  Her .422 career batting average ranks second in MAAC history, and her 215 career hits are a Canisius record...Also the school’s all-time leader in doubles and triples and ranks second in RBIs...Started every game in which she played, and led her team to an impressive 133-32 overall record and a 45-3 MAAC mark...Canisius won four MAAC regular-season championships, four MAAC Tournament Championships and made three NCAA appearances during her career... Tassone's best season came as a sophomore in 1994, when she finished fifth in the nation in batting average, 27th in RBIs and 17th in slugging percentage, while helping the Griffs to a MAAC Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance...Named the MAAC Player of the Year and a Mid-Atlantic Region First-Team All-American.
