Canisius' men's and women's cross country teams will compete at the University of Albany's 43rd Annual Invitational Saturday, Oct. 17. The women's 5,000 meter event begins at 10:05 a.m., while the men's 8,000 meter race will start at 10:40 a.m. The Griffs will be one of 27 men's teams and 26 women's teams to compete on the field, which includes schools from Division I, II, III and the community college level.

The Griffs are listed as a contender among Sacred Heart and Marist for the women's title, while the men will be competing against Harvard, Massachusetts, Binghamton and Marist, among others, for the crown. Five nationally-ranked and eight regionally-ranked Division II and III teams will also be racing in the meet.
