Senior

Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. She finished the season with 14 goals and 11 assists, leading
the team and the conference with 39 points.
The Golden Griffins wrapped up the season with a

career-best season, Kowalski moved into the top-three spots in the Canisius
record book in multiple categories, including third in career goals, third in season
points, first in season assists and third in career points. Kowalski also holds
spots in the record book for season goals (5th) and in career
assists (10th).
"Sylvia absolutely deserves to be recognized as
an All-Star," said head coach Jim Wendling. "She certainly earned the
award with her stellar play for the Griffs this fall. Sylvia was a tremendous
goal scorer for our team, and her contributions enabled us to be a strong
attacking team. She stepped up for our team as an active leader and had the
best season of her career."
Kowalski also ranked 12th in the country in
points per game, 19th in goals per game and 18th in the nation in
assists per game.
