William Maloney '86 - Maloney, a four year letter winner in both cross country and track, won his first collegiate race in a school-record-time of 22:53.4 over 4.6 miles and established Canisius as a regional power in cross country. Maloney set school marks at several distances including 10,000 meters (31:38 in 1983 Upstate NY Championships) and he dominated his local competition. On the track, he established marks that, at the time of his induction, still stood, including a 4:26.8 outdoor mile in 1985 and an indoor two-mile time of 9:16.0 and 3000 meter clocking of 8:35.1.
