Cheer and Dance Team Tryouts Announced

Both the Canisius College cheerleading team and dance team will conduct tryouts later this month. Please see information below as it pertains to your interests.

Cheer Squad Tryouts
Date: Saturday, Sept. 10
Time: 11 a.m. -2 p.m.
Place: Patrick Lee Center

Notes: Please wear appropriate clothing and sneakers. NO JEWELRY ALLOWED.
Bring a headshot photo AND a letter of introduction. Tryouts will consist of jumps, tumbling, stunts, and a short motions dance. Once you have tried out, you can leave the gym. Results will be sent via email.
Practices will begin the following Monday, Sept. 12. Tumbling is NOT a requirement. HOWEVER, you must be able to do a standing back handspring at tryouts with a spot.

If you are unable to attend the tryout date and would still like to try out, please contact Coach Alisha at Cheergriffs10@aol.com.

There is also an open gym scheduled for Sept. 6 in Patrick Lee from 7-9 p.m. for additional practice time prior to tryouts.

Dance Griffs Tryouts
Date: Sunday, Sept. 11
Time: 6:00 pm
Place: Patrick Lee Center

Notes: Please wear dance attire, bring appropriate shoes, have your hair away from your face, and don't forget to bring your audition form!
