UNFAMILIAR FACES STEPPING UP
• Since the turn of the calendar, a number of new faces have stepped up for Canisius to lead the team to a 4-2-0 record.
• A team that relied upon two players in the first half of the season - Kyle Gibbons and Taylor Law posted a point on 73.3 percent of the team's goals - Canisius went from averaging 1.67 goals per game the first half of the season to 2.83 goals per game in January.
• The secret for Canisius is the number of players it can now rely upon to lead the offense. A total of 14 players have posted at least two points and no more than five during the run.
• Six players have recorded their first career multi-point games in January - Doug Jessey, Mitch McCrank, Duncan McKellar, Ben Parker, Braeden Rigney and Tyler Wiseman.
McKELLAR'S POSITION CHANGE PAYING OFF
• The leader of the new faces stepping up for the Griffs has been sophomore defender Duncan McKellar.
• McKellar has posted five assists in his last five games after recording just one point in his first season and a half with the Griffs (20 games).
• His five points are tied for the team lead during the month of January.
• McKellar is now showing that his position switch from forward to defense is paying off. He is in his first full year on the blue line this season.
• The sophomore posted his first career multi-point game in the Griffs' most recent game (2a), including the primary assist on the gamewinner.

• Morrison has totaled 2,679 saves during his career and is approaching the school record.
• The senior is now just 92 saves shy of the mark set by Bryan Worosz from 2001 to 2005 (2,771 saves).
• Morrison is enjoying a career-best season during his final campaign, posting personal bests with a 2.80 gaa and .914 save percentage.
