Canisius College director of athletics Bill Maher has announced the appointment of Toni Rogers to the position of director of compliance. Rogers joins the Canisius athletics staff after serving as a compliance coordinator at The Ohio State University.

As compliance coordinator, Rogers handled and monitored the daily compliance responsibilities of 19 of the 36 total sports offered at OSU. She served as the primary monitor for these sports, working directly with their respective coaching staffs, student-athletes and support staffs.

Prior to becoming a full-time staff member, Rogers spent the 2010-11 academic calendar as a compliance intern. In this role, she was able to develop and implement various educational efforts while revising the department's internal compliance manual.

After completing her undergraduate study at Baldwin-Wallace College, Rogers began her career in compliance at Cleveland State University.

Rogers obtained her bachelor of arts in sport management from Baldwin-Wallace in May 2010. She went on to pursue a master of arts in sport management from The Ohio State University, graduating in August 2011.
