Senior midfielder Megan Oosting of the Canisius College women's lacrosse team became the second player in the program's history to garner IWLCA All-Region accolades, earning second-team All-West/Midwest Region honors.

The 2012 MAAC Midfielder of the Year, Oosting led the Griffs with a school-record 58 goals this season. She also tallied 11 assists for 69 points (the second-most in the program's history), while adding a team-best 70 draw controls in addition to 33 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers. Oosting led the MAAC in both goals and draw controls, placing 12th nationally in goals per game and 24th in draw controls per contest.

A three-time selection to the All-MAAC First Team, Oosting was also instrumental in leading Canisius to the program's first two conference titles. She earned MAAC All-Tournament honors following both the 2011 and 2012 championship runs, helping Canisius advance to the NCAA Play-In Round. The senior led the Griffs in the NCAA Tournament against No. 8/15 Massachusetts this season, recording five points and three goals in a narrow 13-12 setback to the Minutewomen.

Oosting finished her career as one of the best to wear the Blue and Gold. The Lakefield, Ontario native set the program's records with 154 career goals and 201 career draw controls. She also ranks fourth in the school's record book with 188 career points, sixth with 34 career assists and third with 89 career caused turnovers.

Oosting's honor marks the second-straight season a Griff earned regional All-America accolades, joining former teammate Allison Daley. A goaltender, Daley collected the honor following the 2011 campaign.
