data released by the NCAA was for the 2010-11 academic year. The 10 teams with
the perfect APR score of 1,000 are men's basketball, women's basketball, men's
cross country, women's cross country, golf, women's lacrosse, women's soccer,

the third consecutive season.
The
Golden Griffin golf program had an APR score of 1,000 for the fourth
consecutive season and was recently recognized by the NCAA with an APR Public Recognition

1,000, the highest number in the eight years of available data. The Griffs had

2004-05. Eleven of the 15 programs had multi-year APR scores of 975 or better, with no program posting a score below 939. A program must have a multi-year APR score below 900 to receive penalties from the NCAA.
The
66.7 percent of athletic programs at Canisius with perfect scores was the
third-highest total in the conference, trailing Saint Peter's (78.9 percent)
and Loyola (75 percent).
The
APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by
tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete on scholarship. The APR
accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation and provides a measure of
each team's academic performance.
