Softball Ends Fall Season with Two Wins

In the first game, senior Amanda Baun gave up just two hits and allowed an unearned run while fanning 10 batters to secure the win in the circle for the Blue and Gold. Freshman Meghan Cuda went 3-for-4 with two triples, while Robin Kennery and Jen Consaul recorded two hits apiece in the victory as well. Sophomores Marissa Miller and Erica Afanador each had a hit and drove in two RBIs for Canisius.
In the nightcap, Consaul earned the win after she gave up a hit and an unearned run to go with seven strikeouts in four innings of work. Sophomore Corrine Schaus came on in releif and pitched the final frame, where she allowed a hit, a run and posted a strikeout.
At the plate, Kennery went 3-for-3 with a double and four RBIs, while Consaul helped her own cause with three hits as well. Afanador had two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs, and freshman Tori Nappo had a double, a home run and two RBIs in the winning effort.
