averaged 6.44 digs per set and had a 96.7 service reception percentage
(58-for-60) in two Canisius wins over the weekend. Severyn had 28 digs in the
Griffs' five-set win over Fairfield when she became the second player in

award from the MAAC.
On
the season, Severyn ranks second in the MAAC with a 5.57 digs per set average
and leads the Golden Griffins with a .960 service reception percentage. The

Canisius,
which is off to a program-best 8-1 start in MAAC play and holds a two-game
lead in the loss column over the rest of the conference, play three matches
this weekend. The Golden Griffins face rival Niagara University on Wednesday
night (6 p.m.) at the Gallagher Center before returning to the Koessler
Athletic Center to host Siena on Saturday (2 p.m.) and Marist on Sunday (2
