The Canisius College men's
basketball team will play the first of its two exhibition games this Friday, Nov
2., at 7 p.m., when the Golden Griffins play host to Ryerson University in the
Koessler Athletic Center. This will be Canisius' first exhibition contest since
the 2010-11 season when the Blue and Gold defeated Buffalo State by a score of
84-72.
Prior to the game, there will be a special meet-and-greet
with the Canisius men's basketball coaching staff for season-ticket holders in
the Canisius College Science Hall Common Area from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Due to
pregame preparations, head coach Jim
Baron and his coaching staff will only be available to meet with fans for a
short time. Pizza and beverages will be provided, and season-ticket holders are
invited to stop by the Canisius Ticket Office on the way into the game to pick
up their 2012-13 season tickets.
Baron is entering his first year at the helm of the
Canisius program after he was named the program's 23rd head coach in
school history April 2, 2012. The Griffs return six letterwinners and three
starters from last year's team and will open this year's regular season with
three-straight games at home, starting Monday, Nov. 12, when the team hosts
Boston University at 7 p.m., in the Koessler Athletic Center.
Tickets for this exhibition
game, or the team's exhibition contest Nov. 8, against Eckerd College can be
purchased through the Canisius Ticket Office by calling (716) 888-2885, or by clicking this link. Single-game and season tickets are also still
available.
