After playing one of the nation's top teams tough on Tuesday, Canisius continues play at home on Saturday, hosting Albany. The game, which can be seen on tape delay on Time Warner SportsChannel (Ch. 713 in Buffalo), is set to begin at 1 p.m.

YOUTH IS SERVED
• Through three games of the 2013 season, it has become evident that the underclassmen will carry the load for the Griffs this season.
• The Canisius freshman and sophomore classes have combined to account for 79 percent of the team's points and goals this season.
• In addition, the team's starting goalkeeper and two of the four defenders are all underclassmen this season.

RAUTENSTRAUCH SCORES IN BACK-TO-BACK GAMES
• One player that is taking advantage of the new rules that puts an emphasis on two-way midfielders is senior Joe Rautenstrauch.
• Primarily a defensive midfielder during his first three seasons at Canisius, Rautenstrauch has scored the first two goals of his career in each of his last two games.
• The senior went scoreless during the first 26 games of his career.

EDWARDS NAMED TO TEWAARATON AWARD WATCH LIST
• Sophomore Tim Edwards was named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List, awarded to the top lacrosse player in the country.
• The sophomore midfielder currently leads the Griffs with seven points on three goals and a team-best four assists in three games during the 2013 season.
• Edwards is also the team's top returning scorer from last season, recording 32 points, 13 goals and 19 assists during the 2012 campaign.
• The 2012 MAAC Rookie of the Year honors, Edwards is the second Griff to be selected to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List (Adam Jones also earned the nod in 2010).

CANISIUS - ALBANY SERIES HISTORY
• The Griffs and Great Danes are meeting for the second time in the schools' history. Canisius earned a 13-10 win last year in Albany.
• Simon Giourmetakis led the Griffs with a career-best eight points and six goals in the win, while Canisius won 16-of-26 faceoffs.

ABOUT THE GREAT DANES
• Albany is 2-2 on the season and is coming off a 15-9 victory against No. 9 Massachusetts on Tuesday. The Great Danes also own a win against Syracuse this season.
• Lyle Thompson has accumulated 31 points in just four games this season, recording 12 goals and 19 assists. Ty Thompson ranks second with 13 points (9g, 4a).
• Blaze Riorden has played every minute in goal for the Great Danes, posting a 14.45 goals against average and .454 save percentage.
• Kevin Glueckert has won 47.7 percent of faceoffs to lead the Great Danes at the X.
