The Canisius Ticket Office announced today that the Canisius-Niagara men’s basketball game, set for Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. in the Koessler Athletic Center, is sold out. This marks the fifth-straight sellout in the Koessler Athletic Center for Western New York’s best college rivalry game.

The 173rd all-time meeting between the two schools will be broadcast exclusively in HD through the Golden Griffin Broadcast Network and MAAC.tv with Jay Moran and Ben Wagner on the call. Canisius’ audio call will be available in Buffalo on AM-1400 and online through GoGriffs.com. GoGriffs.com will also provide a free in-game, interactive chat and fans are encouraged to follow along via Twitter @Griffs_MBB.

Canisius will enter Wednesday’s game with a 12-7 overall record and a 6-2 mark in MAAC action, which has the Blue and Gold tied with three other teams atop the conference standings. Canisius is led by senior Billy Baron, who is currently ranked third in the nation in scoring average at 23.1 points per game. The Griffs are 6-0 at home this season, where the team is averaging 85.7 points per game.
