The Canisius athletic department announced today the release of BillyBaron12.com, a microsite published to help promote senior guard Billy Baron and his candidacy for various national awards, including the 2014 Bob Cousy Award.
The microsite, which was created and published with the help of row27 Studios from Minneapolis, Minn., features statistical and biographical information on Baron, who currently ranks third in the nation in scoring average with his 24.8 points per game. The site also contains links to the College’s official athletic department web site, GoGriffs.com, as well as Canisius.edu and men’s basketball social media channels. The second page of the microsite features comments and tweets from various college basketball analysts and head coaches from around the MAAC.The men’s basketball team is currently 19-10 overall and 13-5 in MAAC play, heading into the final weekend of the 2013-14 regular season. Canisius, which is currently tied for third in the MAAC standings with Manhattan, will play at Rider Friday, Feb. 28, with tipoff set for 9 p.m., on ESPNU. The Blue and Gold will close out the regular season at Manhattan on Sunday, March 2. That game will be broadcast on ESPN3, with tipoff set for 4:30 p.m.
