The Canisius College rowing team returns to action on Saturday at the Sacred Heart Invitational in Shelton, Conn.
The Griffs, who placed eighth at the Longhorn Invitational two weeks ago, will get things underway at 1:10 p.m. on Saturday with the Second Varsity Eight hitting the water first.
The Second Varsity Eight closed the Longhorn Invitational with their best time of the weekend against UCF, with a time of 7:33.51 down the 2,000-meter course.
The Varsity Four will hit the water next at 1:30 p.m. That crew is coming off its best race of the young season against UCF, closing out the Longhorn Invitational with a time of 8:31.03.
There will then be nearly a two-hour layoff before the Varsity Eight takes the water at 3:20 p.m. They closed out the Longhorn Invite against the Knights with a time a half second slower than their season-best time of 7:12.00, which was set a week earlier against SMU.
The Blue and Gold will return to the water on Sunday with the Varsity Eight getting the first strokes of the day at 11:30 a.m. The Second Varsity Eight will hit the water at 12:10 p.m., followed by the Varsity Four at 12:30 p.m. to close out the event for the Griffs.
