For the second-straight week, sophomore attacker Tori Quinn was recognized as the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week.
Quinn led the Canisius attack to victory in its only game of the week – a 14-9 win over Monmouth. For the third-straight game, the sophomore recorded a career-best six points, posting three goals and three assists. She also matched her personal best with four draw controls in the win.
Eight games into the 2013 season and Quinn is making her mark on the Canisius offense. She entered the week ranked first in the MAAC with 4.25 points per game plus second with 2.75 goals per game and 1.50 assists per game.
Quinn and the Griffs now turn their attention toward defending their MAAC title as the team opens conference play on Saturday. The two-time defending champions, Canisius is looking to become the first team to win three-straight titles when it opens defense of its crown with a home game against league foe Iona. First draw at the Demske Sports Complex is set for 2 p.m.
