The Canisius golf team played the first two rounds of the Oak Hill Intercollegiate on Monday on the East Course at Oak Hill Country Club in Pittsford, N.Y. The Golden Griffins are in seventh place after posting a two-round team total of 647.
Sophomore Andrew Romano shot a combined score of 161 to lead the Griffs. The host Notre Dame Fighting Irish leads the event after 36 holes with a team score of 574 and Nebraska sits in second with a team score of 581. Notre Dame golfer Niall Platt leads the field after two rounds with his combined socre of 137, highlighted by his second round score of 66, which is four-under par.
The third and final round of the event will tee off on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m.
