Pre-registration for the 16th annual Shoes for the Shelter 5K presented by Independent Health has closed. Runners wishing to register in person can do so at the following times in Room 181 (adjacent to the Hall of Fame area) of the Koessler Athletic Center, located at the corner of Main and Delavan.
Friday - 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday - Noon to 4 p.m.
Day of race registration begins at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday in the Patrick Lee Center.
Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. and Saturday from Noon to 4 p.m.
Where: Koessler Athletic Center; Room 181 (adjacent to Hall of Fame area)
*Packets may also be picked up from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. on race day in the Patrick Lee Center. The Patrick Lee is attached to the back of the Koessler Center.
Restrooms: Located at the Demske Sports Complex Plaza, adjacent to the concession area.

Parking: Free Parking available in the following locations
- Upper KAC lot (enter off Delavan before 9 a.m.)
- Canisius parking ramp (enter off Jefferson Avenue)
- Lower KAC lot (enter off Main Street)
- Spillman lot (enter off Spillman Avenue)
Registration: 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Shoe Collection: 7:30 a.m. to Noon (Please remember to bring your new or used shoes and place in truck in upper KAC parking lot)
Runner’s Mass: 8:30 to 9 a.m.
Entertainment: The Time Pirates (10:20 a.m. to Noon )
Race: 10 a.m. - Course Map (PDF)
Post-Race Party: 10:20 to 11:45 a.m.
Awards: 11:20 a.m. (approx)
Also, the Canisius softball team will play Iona College at noon at the Demske Sports Complex. Runners are welcome to enjoy the game. Please note – softballs do leave the field and they are not friendly with windshields. Park your car near the field at your own risk!!
