Canisius College senior golfer Michael Carrig posted a final round score of 73 and ended the 54-hole Detroit Titan Invitational with a score of 220 to earn a tie for 10th in the tournament, which was played at Prestwick Village Country Club in Highland, Mich. As a team, the Golden Griffins took seventh in the field with a three-round team score of 917.

Carrig's score of 220 was four over par for the entire event and the 10th place finish marked the fourth time this year where he has placed in the top-10 at a tournament. For his career, it was his eighth career top-10 finish and the score of 220 was just three strokes more than his career-best score for a 54-hole tournament. Freshman Andrew Romano placed 20th in the field after he shot a 76 on Saturday and fellow freshman Hunter Sagar took 36th in the field with his 54-hole score of 234.

The host Detroit Titans shot 287 as a team in the final round and ended up winning the team title, while Oakland golfer Evan Bowser's score of 212, which was four-under par for the 54-holes, won the individual crown. Cleveland State took second, while Youngstown State, Valparaiso and Oakland rounded out the top-five team enteries.

Canisius will return to the course next weekend when the team travels to Raleigh, N.C., to take part in the NC State Wolfpack Spring Open.
