Over the coming weeks, GoGriffs.com will be featuring the newcomers to the Canisius women's lacrosse team. Today's installment features Taylor Giglio, sophomore attack from Oswego, N.Y. (Previous installments: Ashley Heisler, Rachel Toole, Shannon Pelitera, and Samantha Bianchi)

1. Why did you choose to attend Canisius?
It's a perfect distance from home, the academics are good, and the lacrosse program continues to grow and I wanted to be a part of that.
2. What is your favorite memory lacrosse memory?
Making it to the final four in high school. Although we lost that game, as we pulled into the school after the game, every student and faculty member was outside cheering for us. It was amazing. The whole team was very emotional.
3. When did you first start playing lacrosse?
I first started playing lacrosse in 3rd grade.
4. Being a member of the Canisius women’s lacrosse team is…
Being a part of another family. Being given the privilege to continue making history and honoring the players before us who have helped develop the program into what it is today.

Favorite athlete: Michael Jordan
Hobbies: Spending time with my family, listening to music, and playing other sports.
Favorite movie: Burlesque
Favorite TV show: Pretty Little Liars
Favorite book: Hunger Games
Favorite musician: Justin Bieber
Pre-game ritual/superstition: I listen to music, braid my hair, and wear the same headband.
If you were to play another sport, what would it be? Basketball
Interesting fact about yourself: I've been in the same room as Justin Bieber, Lebron James, and MGK at the same time.
Best advice you’ve received: No matter how many times you get knocked down, always get back up. Look for the positives because things could always be worse.
