How We Got Here
• Marist topped Monmouth in semifinal number one on Friday before Canisius eliminated Fairfield with a 12-10 victory in the second semifinal.
• Senior midfielder Maria Kotas set a new postseason record with six goals, and tied the Canisius postseason record for points with seven.
• The Griffs avenged their earlier loss to the Stags which came just six days prior.

What’s at Stake
• The Griffs are seeking their fourth-straight MAAC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance.
• Canisius became the first women’s lacrosse team to win three-straight titles last season.
• This team would become just the second team in Canisius athletics history to make four-straight NCAA tournaments in their respective sport with a win on Sunday.

Record Watch
• Kotas needs just two points to tie the Canisius single-season record (79) which was set by junior attacker Tori Quinn last season.
• Should Kotas break the mark on Sunday, she will have done it in two fewer games.
• Kotas is just seven points shy of tying Tori’s sister Carly for the most career points in Canisius history.
• She also currently sits six goals shy of the single-season goals record.

• This game is a rematch of last year’s MAAC final, which Canisius took 10-9.
• The Red Foxes took the previous meeting by the same score earlier this season.
• Kotas and sophomore attacker Taylor Giglio each recorded three points in the matchup.

Scouting Marist
• The Red Foxes enter Sunday’s championship game boasting the league’s best record at 14-3.
• Marist beat Monmouth 13-7 on Friday, behind a 5-1 halftime lead.
• Allison Gionta led the way with a game-high nine points.

Series History
• Marist owns the better record in the all-time series 16-6 over the Griffs, but Canisius has won three of the last four.
• Kotas has a team-high 12-career goals against the Red Foxes.
