Richard Foit ('95) - A two-season member of the Canisius College baseball team, Foit started all 81 games from 1993-95. At the time of his graduation, Foit was second all-time in single-season bases (84 in 1994), and ranked third in single-season runs (38 in 42 games, 1994), single-season doubles (13 in 1994), and career doubles (25). At the time of his induction, Foit ranked 13th all-time in single-season bases, 12th in single-season runs, seventh in single-season doubles, and tied for 11th in career doubles. Foit had a 33-game hitting streak over two years, including the first 21 games of the 1994 season. He graduated in eighth place on the career hits list and earned MAAC North Player of the Year honors in 1994. He was a member of the 1994 MAAC regular-season championship team when the Griffs posted a 17-1 record. While at Canisius, the Golden Griffins earned a 41-39-1 team record. At the time of his induction, Foit ranked ninth all-time in both career batting average (.342) and career slugging percentage (.554), ranking sixth and seventh, respectively, at the time of his graduation in 1994.
