enters his second year as athletic communications graduate assistant. Nowadly serves
as primary media contact for women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's swimming and
diving, synchronized swimming, and rowing.
arriving at Canisius College, Nowadly served in multiple roles in the
University at Buffalo Division of Athletics. He held the position of athletic
communications assistant at UB from 2008 to 2010. He served as primary media
contact for men's soccer, wrestling, and baseball as well as secondary media
contact for men's basketball. He publicized and promoted the teams,
student-athletes, coaches, and Division of Athletics through various online and
print publications, including the creation of content on BuffaloBulls.com. In
the position, he handled all media relations for the assigned teams, developing
a relationship with campus, local, regional, and national media outlets.
graduate of Houghton College, Nowadly obtained his bachelor's degree in
communication and physical education, including a minor in history. At
Houghton, he served as sports information student assistant for two years.
He directed all aspects of sports information, including tournament and game
operations for men's and women's soccer, track and field, men's and women's
basketball, cross country, volleyball, and field hockey.
Upon graduating from
Houghton, Nowadly volunteered in sports information at SUNY Brockport and
Roberts Wesleyan College.
A native of
Hamburg, N.Y., Nowadly is a member of both College Sports Information Directors of
America (CoSIDA) and Eastern College Athletic Conference Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA). He is currently pursuing his master's degree in sport
administration at Canisius.
