Darren Fenn ('01) - One of only three players in school history to exceed 1,400 career points and grab over 800 career rebounds, Fenn was a four-year letterwinner for the Canisius men’s basketball program and he became the 52nd former men’s basketball player to be enshrined into the Canisius Sports Hall of Fame.
Fenn was the team’s captain in 2000-01 when the Golden Griffins last won 20 games and advanced to the MAAC Tournament Championship game. That season, he was named All-MAAC Second Team after he averaged 13.8 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. The Tonawanda, N.Y., native was an All-MAAC First-Team honoree after his junior campaign in 1999-00 when he averaged a double-double with 17.6 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, making him the last Griff to accomplish that feat. A member of the program’s 1,000-point club, he ranks in the top-10 in four different offensive categories in the Canisius record book, and his 132 career blocked shots is seventh in program history. He was also honored three times as a MAAC All-Academic honoree for his work in the classroom.
