Brian Dux (‘03) – One of two players in school history to score more than 1,000 career points while dishing out 500-plus career assists, Dux is the 53rd former men’s basketball player to be enshrined into the Canisius Sports Hall of Fame. He is one of nine Griffs to earn All-MAAC honors in two different seasons, and he was also recognized to the MAAC All-Tournament Team twice in his career. He played in 119 career games, making 110 starts, and he currently ranks 16th in school history with his 1,239 career points. He tallied 508 career assists in a Canisius uniform and he is the school’s all-time leader in career free-throw percentage at 82.9 percent. He still ranks 10th in school history with 140 career steals and his 4.3 assists per game average is fourth-best in the school’s record book. After he graduated from Canisius with his undergraduate degree physical education, he went overseas to play professionally for four seasons. His pro career was cut short after a serious car accident in England in 2007, but he recently earned his master’s degree in sport administration from the College.
