Jill Wright ‘03 The first three-time All-American in Canisius synchronized swimming program history, Wright is the third former member of the synchronized swimming program to be inducted into the school’s Sports Hall of Fame, joining Jill (Evans) Benham and her mother and former coach, Joanne Wright. As a student-athlete, she helped lead the Griffs to four-straight ECAC Championships and she was a four-time ECAC solo event champion as well. As a sophomore, she finished third in the solo event at the U.S. Collegiate Nationals and she placed fourth in her junior year. A member of the 1999 U.S. Junior National Synchronized Swimming team, she is currently the Griffs’ head coach, a position she has held for the nine seasons.
