Shoes for the Shelter 5K Information — Sunday, April 18, 2010

Online Registration (open until 3 PM Saturday)

Participants can pick up their race packet at the Koessler Athletic Center (corner of Main and Delavan) between 3 and 6 pm on Friday and Noon and 3 pm on Saturday. At 9:30 am on Sunday, day of registration and chip pick-up begins.

This year’s gift is a stylish running cap from New Era. The overall male and female winners will receive a nice Asics travel bag designed specifically for runners. Age group champions will receive a dri-fit short-sleeve T, while second and third-place winners will receive either a tumbler or a latte mug.

Please remember to bring new or used shoes. You can drop those off in advance at the Koessler Athletic Center or bring them on Sunday morning. We should move past the 12,000 (since 2001) pairs of shoes mark by Sunday.

11:00 am - Runners Stretch (Patrick Lee Gymnasium)
11:40 am - One Mile Fun Walk (Forest Lawn Cemetery)
12:00 pm - Shoes for the Shelter 5K Run/Walk presented by Independent Health (Forest Lawn Cemetery)
12:15 pm - Post-Race Party Begins (Patrick Lee Gymnasium)
1:15 pm - Awards Ceremony - Shoes for the Shelter (Patrick Lee Gymnasium)
