Canisius College has been ranked 82nd among all NCAA Division I Colleges and University athletic departments in the 10th Annual National Collegiate Scouting Association (NCSA) Collegiate Power Rankings, released late last week. Canisius is one of five schools from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference to receive this honor in 2012.
The NCSA Athletic Recruiting Collegiate 2012 Power Rankings assess the academic and athletic standards of all NCAA athletic departments across the country. The Power Rankings were developed to help prospective student-athletes and their families evaluate the particular strengths of top colleges and universities at the Division I, II and III levels. These power rankings are calculated for each NCAA institution by averaging student-athlete graduation rates, academic rankings provided by U.S. News & World Report and the strength of athletic departments, as determined by the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup.
