Petey, the Canisius mascot, has been voted the Best Catholic Mascot after the week-long, 32-team Catholic Mascotology Tournament held on BustedHalo.com.

Petey won the championship after a back-and-forth battle on Friday with Iggy of the Loyola Greyhounds. Petey advanced to the championship round with a 17-vote victory over the Fordham Ram in the semifinals.

Petey got to the semifinals with a decisive victory over the Iona College Gael. He opened the 32-mascot tournament with a win over
the Wolf from St. Bonaventure in the first round and then defeated the Eagle from Boston College in the second round on Tuesday.

Thank you to all of our fans during the past week for voting every day and spreading the word throughout social media to other fans, friends and alumni of Canisius College to help vote Petey as the Best Catholic Mascot!
