Craig Wise ('95) - Wise set multiple school records, and currently ranks third in points (1,799)...Also ranks first in games played (121), second in steals (218), and fourth in rebounds (467), field goals (595), three-pointers (136) and free throws (473)...Remains the only player in Canisius history to rack up more than 1,500 points, pull down more than 700 rebounds and dish out more than 350 assists...Tri-captain of the team for three years, Wise was named the MAAC Co-Rookie of the Year and named to the All-Rookie team in 1991-92...Earned first team all-conference kudos as a junior and a senior...During the 1993-94 season, Wise helped lead the Griffs to a 22-7 record, clinching the regular-season conference championship and earning a place in the National Invitational Tournament...In his senior year, when the team advanced to the NIT Final Four, he scored 32 points against Virginia Tech- a career high and the most points ever scored by a Griff in postseason play...That season the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) named him Player of the Year, making him the first Golden Griffin ever to be so recognized by a league, and Basketball Weekly bestowed the same honor.
