*Edward J. Reidman '31 - A guard on the Canisius football squad from 1927-1930, Reidman played such formidable opponents as Boston College, Washington, Coast Guard, Villanova, Marshall and St. Bonaventure. Reidman was a sixty-minute player who prided himself on never missing a game during his four years at Canisius College. To his teammates, his fellow classmates, and Western New York football fans, Reidman was known as the "Silent Hercules" of the Canisius line. His ability on the field and his leadership qualities earned him the rank of captain on the varsity squad during his senior year.
