Chester Kwasek '50 - Chester Kwasek was an outstanding running back for the great Golden Griffin football teams of the post WWII era. His statistics for his senior season showed 519 net yards and 10 touchdowns while leading the team to a 5-2 season. Chet also played varsity baseball for two years. At the finish of his freshman season in 1946, Kwasek earned 97 yards in the season-finale tie against the Scranton Tomcats, including a 54-yard run for a touchdown late in the third, proving to be the best back on the field for the Griffs.
