*Luke Urban -Football Coach, 1921-1930 - The second all-time winningest coach with 46 victories from 1921-1930. His teams posted a record of 46 victories, 24 defeats and five ties. Urban was one of the greatest athletes ever to perform at Boston College, winning letters in football, baseball, basketball and hockey. He played major league baseball for the New York Yankees in the Babe Ruth era, the Boston Braves and the Buffalo Bisons. He also played football for the Buffalo All-Americans. As a member of the Buffalo pro football team he played against the fabled Jim Thorpe.
