Paul Insalaco is in his first season as assistant athletic trainer at Canisius College where his primary responsibilities lie with the men's basketball and men's soccer teams.
Insalaco joined the Canisius athletic training staff after serving as the head athletic trainer at Medaille College in Buffalo during the 2010-11 academic year. There, he was responsible for the oversight and implementation of all facets of the Sports Medicine department at the College. He oversaw all 14 of the Mavericks' teams, while also providing his services to several outside events for Catholic Health, including various high schools, health fairs and local club and federation hockey programs.
Prior to his time at Medaille, the Canisius College graduate worked at Marshall University from 2007-10. There, he worked directly with the Thundering Herd's football program and also oversaw athletic training efforts for the school's softball and men's soccer teams.
Insalaco graduated from Canisius in 2007 with his bachelor's degree in athletic training and earned his master's degree from Marshall in 2009. During his undergraduate days at the College, he worked with men's and women's basketball and also spent two seasons as a student intern with the Buffalo Bills.
