Tom Appenheimer ('92)- A three-time All-MAAC performer, Appenheimer holds school records in the five mile and 8,000 meter in cross country, and the 10,000 meters for track and field. At one time, he held records for the indoor 3,000 and 5,000 meters, as well as the outdoor 3,000, 2-mile, 5,000, and 10,000 meters. As a senior he won both the Harry Anderson Memorial Race and Robert Morris Invitational, while placing in the top 10 at three other events. He stands as the first Canisius runner to qualify for the ICAAA Outdoor Track Championships, and was the top finisher for Canisuis at the MAAC Championships in 1991 and '92. In 1990, he finished 27th overall at the 1990 NCAA qualifying race, and while a member on the cross-country team, the Griff's finished second at the MAAC Championship Meet in 1989, 1991, and 1992, with a third place finish in 1990.
