1982-'83 Women's Basketball Team- The '82-'83 Women's Basketball team made the program's first appearance in a NCAA tournament, advancing to the Elite 8 of the '83 Division II National Tournament. Their 28-5 record is tops for wins during a season for the school, and included a 15-game winning streak. The team finished the season ranked eighth in the NCAA, marking the only time in Canisius women's basketball history a team has been ranked nationally. Additionally, the team captured championships at the Upstate New York Conference going 6-0, the NYSAIWA Tournament, EAIWA Regionals, and the Lady Griff Invitational Tournament.
