Dan McNaughton (Head Coach)- Served as the men's cross country head coach for 12 years (1980-91), making him the longest tenured head coach in the program's history, and also started the Canisius women's cross country team. McNaughton led the Griffs to a 1987 North Atlantic Conference Championship, in addition to second-place finishes at the MAAC Championship in 1989, 1991 and third in 1991. McNaughton also served as head coach when Chris Kane won the 1989 MAAC Individual Championship and recruited and coached seven Canisius College Sports Hall of Famers.
