Jenny Petruzzo joined the Canisius athletic training staff in August 2012. She will be working directly with the volleyball, swimming and diving and men's lacrosse programs. She is also a clinincal instructor in the CAATE Accredited Undergraduate Athletic Training Education Program at the College.
Petruzzo completed her
undergraduate and graduate education at Ithaca College. She received a Master's
of Science in exercise and sport sciences (with a concentration in sports psychology)
as well as a Master's of Science in sport management in August 2012. Petruzzo
earned a Bachelor of Science in athletic training in May 2010.
During the past two years, Petruzzo was a graduate assistant trainer at Cornell University. She worked primarily with the volleyball and softball teams, while also working with men's and women's tennis, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's squash and women's ice hockey.
A certified athletic trainer with the National Athletic Trainers' Association as well as the state of New York, Petruzzo is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist. Petruzzo is a member of the NATA, Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association and the NYSATA.
Petruzzo was married in August 2012. Her and her husband, Nate, live in Buffalo.
