The Canisius College hockey team held its alumni game recently with a number of past Golden Griffins battling in a best 2-of-3 series.

A team captained by Scott Follett '08 won a series against a squad led by Dan Mancuso '88. Follett's team won two games, 3-0 and 3-2, while Mancuso's team took one game, 3-2.

"It was a great way to honor Ice Griffs from a number of different eras," said Canisius head coach Dave Smith. "Nearly 40 years of players were able to share their experiences and relive their college careers, while also welcoming two new members as Canisius College graduates - Dan Morrison and Scott Moser - to the club. It was a fun time and we look forward to growing the event in the future."

With the "father" of Canisius hockey, Dr. David Deitz - a 2001 selection to the Canisius Hall of Fame, on hand for the event, a number of former Griffs throughout the program's history participated in the three games. From Mancuso, the President of the Ice Griffs Alumni Association, to Scott Moser and Dan Morrison, who finished their Canisius careers earlier this month, to players from the program's club era in the 1970s all participated in the game.
