Welcome back for another week with the Campus Chronicles. We’ve been busy lately with the passing of Thanksgiving and with Finals Week approaching.
The last three games have been very successful for us. We remain unbeaten at home and have points in our last three games. The guys are all excited about closing out the first half of the season on a high note. Since we last talked, the team took 5-of-6 points with a win against RIT (5-2) plus a win and at tie against UConn (3-1 and 2-2). All three games were at home, where we’re 3-0-1 on the year.
For most of the boys, Thanksgiving is different then it was when we were kids. Most of us haven’t gotten to spend the holiday at home for at least a few years now. That’s where Pat Sullivan comes in. Pat grew up just about 30 minutes away from campus and for two consecutive years, his family found a way to make us all feel like we are home for the holiday.
Sully’s family does an unreal job of having the entire team over for a premiere home-cooked meal. The atmosphere really feels like we are with our families. On top of preparing the meal, our coaches and their significant others also brought over some dishes. I saw a few guys escaping with bags full of treats to bring home for later. Thanks to the Sullivans for another awesome Thanksgiving.
This week, we have our final two games of the first half of the season on the road against Army. The campus is in West Point, NY and has been talked of very highly by the guys who have already been there. I’ve googled the campus a couple times and it looks very unique. We’re all looking forward to another trip on the bus and the movies selected by the freshmen. We’ll check back in with you all one more time before we head home for Christmas break.
Wish us luck on our final exams and we’ll see you all in the New Year. Thanks for the continued support!
