It's pretty wild how fast our season is going. With only six games left on our schedule, it would be pretty helpful to get four points this coming weekend as we make our way to Colorado Springs to play against Air Force - who is three points ahead of us right now. The thought of us moving into third place this weekend by taking 4 points from Air Force is a pretty big motivator.
With Valentine's Day coming on Thursday and the Griffs being on the road for it, I thought it would be a good idea to talk about a few of the love stories going on around the dressing room this season.
Mitch McCrank: he's fallen in love with his "flow," earning himself the nickname, "Flowzy McCrank." I couldn't imagine how heartbroken he would be without his massive head of hair.
Doug Jessey, Keegan Asmundson, Carl Larsson: these three roommates have fallen in love with a space heater over the last few days because of the lack of heat in their house. It's hard to say at this point if they'll even care for their furnace to work again.
Patrick Sullivan: loves and has always loved Cosmic Brownies. Without Cosmic Brownies and water, Patrick may not survive very long.
Anyways, back to a more serious topic. With only six regular season games left, it's kind of crazy to think that in just a few weeks our games will mean the most. Standings will no longer mean anything; games lost and won over the course of the regular season mean nothing.
Every next game that we get to play will be the most important game we have played all year. After all, it could be our last. Our entire year of hard work is all coming to a point at playoff time. To be honest, part of me hates to see the regular season near the end, however, I am excited for playoff time.
With our trip to Air Force having us leave bright and early on Thursday morning, I have quite a bit of homework to get to so,
next time, keep it simple,
Braeden Rigney and Ben Parker
